Scholarship

J. Gustaf Richert Foundation

Scholarships and grants are awarded annually to promote research, teaching and education in the fields of environmental protection, energy, civil engineering and transport technology, including techno-economic analysis in the above-mentioned areas. J. Gust. Richert founded the Water Engineering Bureau in 1897, which is now part of the Sweco Group.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to researchers connected to the country's colleges, universities and institutes. The Foundation welcomes applications for cross-sectoral projects aimed at contributing to sustainable social and urban development. Projects involving collaboration between universities, industry, institutes or other organisations are encouraged, as are projects that are close to practical application.

Hans Werthén Foundation

Every year the Hans Werthén Foundation awards around 15 scholarships for a year of scientific work at the postdoc or doctoral candidate level or for MBA or LL.M studies in an international setting.

The scholarship amount is between SEK 100,000 and SEK 200,000. Recipients are in the age range of 25–35 years and have a university degree, preferably a PhD and in the fields of engineering/sciences or economics/law. Additional qualifications include some form of related activity after graduation, preferably research or private sector experience in which candidates have developed their expertise. 

The foundation’s board chooses the scholarship recipients. The board members are: Marcus Wallenberg (Chair) Carl-Henric Svanberg, Marianne Feledy Werthén, Pam Fredman, Leif Johansson, Hans Stråberg and Victoria van Camp (deputy). 

The application portal to apply for a scholarship from the Hans Werthén Foundation 2022 is open from 10 January until 1 March 2022. The selections are made at the foundation’s board meeting in May after which the applicants are informed in writing.

Lavendla's scholarship for digitization

Personal consultation regarding finances, physical and mental health, law, et cetera is now taking place online, to an increasing extent. Lavendla wants to be involved and contribute in the process of creating a safe and inclusive meeting and counseling culture online. Therefore, they are proud to announce a scholarship of SEK 10,000 to a researcher or student working in the field.
